I am often asked why I started this site. It all started when I saw this report one night on CNN. There was a level of honesty about what was happening in Iraq that we were just not hearing from most of the media at that time. I recorded it from my DVR, converted it, and sent it to some of my friends. And then again with the next one (while that one was airing, I got online and subscribed to Time in order to read his reports) and the one after that... And suddenly I had a collection. I think he's an amazing reporter; judging by the mail I receive, a lot of other people do, too. Not just here in the States but all around the world.
The vast majority of videos aired on CNN. They are archived as iPod clips. These clips are playable on QuickTime, free for Mac or PC users. Each entry has a link that leads to a new page containing the clip and the transcript for it. Permalinks are also available.
All the categories have RSS feed tags; please note that whenever I add old material I will mention it in the News section, since the logged date will not trigger an RSS notification.
Feel free to contact me with any questions about the site, especially if you have problems with any link or clip.
There is also a separate blog where I will post quick comments and updates if news breaks when I am away from my home computer.
